I Naviganti, the walking and running group set up by colleagues, took part in the 12 April relay race. The company supports the work of Lega Italiana Fibrosi Cistica Lombardia, a cystic fibrosis charity, OdV at Policlinico di Milano
The arrival of Gestore Marrapodi in January 2024 marked a new dawn for Navigazione Laghi. It is not simply a matter of the company’s upper echelons, but the advent of a profound transformation which goes to the heart of the body: its people.
The new strategic approach is clear: streamlining, renewing and, in particular, investing in human capital to make our company a place not just of work, but also of wellbeing and value. In this renewal process, the Milan General Management has taken a decisive step by signing up to the Lombardy region’s Luoghi di lavoro che Promuovono Salute – Rete WHP Lombardia Workplaces Which Foster Health network.
It isn’t a formality, it’s a key change. We want our offices and quays to be ecosystems which promote health, where chronic disease prevention is a matter of conscious everyday decisions: healthy diets, combating smoking and other addictions and encouraging a positive lifestyle.
The most tangible proof that this new culture is putting down roots is the birth of I Naviganti. The creation of this walking and running group was not a top-down imposition. It was born out of the enthusiasm of colleagues who decided to act as a team outside the workplace, too. I Naviganti is not just a name. It is the symbol of our determination to set sail as a unit, with our eyes on horizons which go far beyond work. Our aim is that what is an embryonic experiment today will be a wellbeing model to export to all our company bases tomorrow, that it is a community seed which will turn the workplace into a vibrant community. The group’s baptism of fire was on 12 April, the UniCredit Relay Marathon 2026. Our colleagues ran this relay race with a goal which went well beyond the finish line: solidarity.
We chose to support Lega Italiana Fibrosi Cistica Lombardia OdV, and its assistance work at Policlinico di Milano.
The company has decided to embrace this cause with a special donation in the belief that corporate social responsibility begins right here, with the sensibilities of its staff. Bottom-up initiatives are the most encouraging sign for leaders of change. It means that there is fertile ground, that the direction taken is the right one and that Navigazione Laghi is getting more and more attractive, healthy and community-conscious everyday.
May the winds be behind our runners, and all of us, as we sail out together to a new tomorrow.
