Destination Verona & Garda Foundation promotes the specific features of Verona province
Destination Verona & Garda Foundation (DVG) has been working to reinforce cohesion between the Verona DMOs and Lago di Garda Veneto since 2022, promoting the specific features which make Verona province unique in a co-ordinated way. The Foundation fosters strategic partnerships designed to enhance the area’s national and international tourist appeal by way of mediation, co-ordination and consultation with tourism professionals and partner bodies. This synergy takes concrete form in an online catalogue offering authentic experiences capable of highlighting the area’s cultural traits. Its name reflects a shared desire to respond to traveller’s needs – e.g. recharging their batteries – by putting their needs centre-stage. DVG’s evolved tourism-promotion model stands out thanks to its introduction of a Destination Management System which integrates services, resources and information and automates the promotion and sale process.

Furthermore, an exclusive partnership with Mastercard enables prompt expense analysis, and a pilot project has been launched in conjunction with Amazon to install the Alexa device to ten accommodation structures to facilitate bookings planning by drawing on the DMS. Verona is getting ready to play a front rank role in the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games via sports and cultural initiatives designed to shorten the distances between the various areas and the event itself. The Verona Arena, the event venue par excellence since antiquity, will host two iconic events: the Olympic Closing Ceremony and the Paralympic Opening Ceremony, thus setting the seal on the bond between these flip sides of a single coin.
