It\u2019s much more than just a job. Those who work every day to ensure Navigazione Laghi\u2019s services work so well are frequently inspired by a great love of what they do, either from childhood or more recently. These are people whose work is a mission for them and who do everything they can to make the service as efficient and people-centred as possible. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018I work as part of a complex contract and tender and investment planning team, so I play a part in everything this involves, especially getting tenders ready and managing them together with the contracts related to them. It\u2019s a job which requires professionalism and relevant training but also flexibility, team work skills and a certain dynamism, and we also have to keep up-to-date on the relevant laws. I knew it was the job for me right away, on the basis of my training. I graduated in law from Naples\u2019s Federico II University and trained as a lawyer at the Naples law courts and that\u2019s where my interest in public contract law began.
I wanted to specialise in this field and when this opportunity presented itself I grabbed it right away.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018I\u2019ve been working at Navigazione Laghi since November 2021. I was born and grew up in Varenna (the boat stop I work at now) but had to move out of the region for five years. When I felt the need to come back I got this job. It came at exactly the right moment and, luckily, just two months later there was a competitive exam for a permanent transport operator. Ours is an office on the lake. There\u2019s nothing more wonderful than the peace in the morning and the colours at sunset.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018My Navigazione Laghi story began in 1990 as a mooring assistant in Maderno, a job I did until February 1992 when I was hired as a deck hand.
In 1994 I passed the in-house exams and became ship\u2019s captain and I\u2019ve been captaining boats since 2000 now, making me Lake Garda\u2019s longest serving. I found teaching what I learnt very satisfying, because there\u2019s always something new to learn on this job.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018As a child I used to listen to the stories of my granddad who worked at Navigazione Laghi and travelled around the lake for thirty years. So when I finished school I tried applying for a job but wasn\u2019t successful. I tried other jobs but nothing I really enjoyed. A few years later they finally called me up. I\u2019ve been at Navigazione Laghi for six years now. It\u2019s a dynamic firm which has given me the chance to do a range of jobs. I\u2019m currently a boatyard machinist.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
