Trenord and Navigazione Laghi are back at Rimini’s TTG event for integrated and winning territorial promotion strategies
This year, too, Navigazione Laghi will be playing a key role in Rimini’s TTG Travel Experience, Italy’s most important tourism promotion fair. Its partner in this will be Trenord, with which it shares an integrated and sustainable travel vision. We spoke about this to Leonardo Cesarini, the company’s commercial manager.
What does TTG stand for?
‘TTG is Italy’s primary B2B event focusing on tourism. We have decided to attend the event together with Navigazione Laghi, with a single stand narrating an integrated train-boat travel experience in Lombardy and beyond.’
Why this partnership?
‘The Trenord-Navigazione Laghi synergy is born of a shared vision: offering a clients a convenient and sustainable service. Our integrated train-boat tickets are very popular with tourists, including international travellers. Stress-free land-water travel is an experience which promotes the lake areas.’
Is sustainability a key issue for you?
‘Definitely. Trains are the sustainable means of transport par excellence. With 2300 trains carrying 760,000 passengers per day, Trenord avoids thousands of tons of CO2 in emissions. We have also come up with a ‘green’ loyalty programme: the more you travel by train, the more CO2 you save and the more points you collect. More than 20,000 clients have signed up since February.’
A final message?
‘We’re proud to have been the first, together with Navigazione Laghi, to build a successful tourist partnership. Our goal? Full client satisfaction and increasingly sustainable tourism.’
