Clean lines and minimalist design: the Mid-Century style was the true star of furnishings designed around the 1960s. Every element was focused on usability and comfort—like the woven rattan chairs or the record player used for music onboard. Natural wood details were paired with materials that were innovative for the time. In the bottom left photo, a vinyl floor combines with the geometric elements of a motor vessel docked at the Tavernola shipyard. Next to it, the interior of the Roma ship, pictured between its launch in 1957 and its first restoration in 1981. In the bar of the boat shown down right, you can even spot a bottle of Martini Elixir di China—an icon in its own right.
