With this first issue of the Lakes Magazine our aim was to fill a gap, create a space in which to talk about, and promote, the living network which is such an everyday part of our mission, uniting Navigazione Laghi with the local area and its institutions, with the people who live on and travel across our lakes.
Sharing our work, stories of the communities we serve, the initiatives and news which demonstrate our commitment to innovation and public service is not simply a matter of transparency. It’s a question of responsibility and dialogue.

Navigazione Laghi is not an isolated system. It has a workforce of over 600 professionals and carries more than 12 million travellers every year. This magazine is for them – for those travelling with us, working behind the scenes, ensuring the service is punctual, accessible and sustainable every day.
Our goal is that Lakes Magazine will be of use to tourists, too, offering visit ideas, less well-known stories, local insights and less travelled itineraries which respect and promote places.
We believe that it is only by working together with local institutions, associations and local economic stakeholders that we can deepen our local roots and be of greater use.
This magazine is the natural outcome, in editorial form, of our everyday efforts to build stable, long-lasting and concrete bonds.
For us, first and foremost, navigation means public service.
But it is also an all round driver of culture, work and innovation. And, from now on, of narrative, too.
